Cory Quinn
Meet Cory! Cory is a third-year student studying Psychology with certificates in LGBTQ+ Studies and English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. This is Cory’s first year as a part of the Q-Fest cohort, and is so excited to share this year’s selection of films with Eau Claire! In Cory’s time on campus, he has found a home in the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center as an intern and active program participant. He also has a great time expressing himself creatively as the poetry editor for the None of the Above art/ literary publication UWEC hosts. Something deeply crucial to Cory is the use of art and poetry to channel activism, commentary, and protest. He hopes to take in all San Francisco has to offer on the immersion and do the experience justice in his creative expression.
In Cory’s free time, you can find him in a hammock reading (and heavily annotating) poetry books, watching a staggering number of movies, walking around the woods brainstorming his next Spotify playlist, or diving into one of his many artistic hobbies to make some gifts for friends.
Picture This: Cory stands by the lagoon at the Palace of Fine Arts positively cheesing for the camera. He is so happy because he gets to spend his free day in San Francisco in nature and just saw four turtles prior to the photo being taken.
