Em Luebke
Em is currently serving as the Student Services Coordinator of the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center at UW-Eau Claire. This is their second year in this role, but they have worked in UW-Eau Claire’s Gender & Sexuality Resource Center for almost 6 years (4 years as an undergraduate student intern, and 2 years as a full-time Student Services Coordinator). Em’s favorite part of working in our office is building strong connections with students and serving as a support system throughout their campus journey, as they aim to provide students with the same support they received at UW-Eau Claire, which helped them achieve success.
One of Em’s favorite parts of their day-to-day is building events and programs that foster a safe space for Queer students to celebrate themselves, and they love working with Gender and Sexuality Resource Center student interns. This is their fourth year participating in Q-Fest, and they could not be more excited for this year’s students to gain as much from this experience as they have as a former student programmer. Em is excited for everyone to see the product of the students’ hard work and is excited for incoming students to experience Q-Fest this year!
Picture This: This is Em standing in front of a beautiful bush of red flora taken by our student programmer Stevie. They found these flowers while walking to a film held at the Roxie Theatre after unintentionally running into each other at Cafe De Casa, one of Em’s favorite cafes in The Castro District!
