Jade Hansen

Meet Jade, a student going into her fifth year in University as a French major with a Japanese minor. If you can’t find her somewhere within the labyrinth halls of the topmost floor of Centennial Hall, she’s probably at home playing video games, drawing, or cooking. (Though there’s also a strong chance they’re working, that crazy workaholic.)

Planning on moving to Canada after graduation, having lived in France and Japan, and only wanting to travel more, she plans to use her experiences in San Francisco and with Q-Fest to continue to find ways to volunteer to help queer rights any way and anywhere she can.

This being their second year of doing Q-Fest, they’re excited to come back with even more experience and excitement to share the program with their fellow students at UWEC, wanting to show just how much two weeks in San Francisco can change someone for the better, even after having already gone.

Picture This: Jade is standing in front of Orphan Andy’s, a delectable diner-themed restaurant right off the Castro.
