5 PM | If I Die, It’ll Be of Joy

In a community in which youthfulness and conventional beauty standards are often sought after, aging Queer people are often made to feel like a forgotten part of the Queer community. Balancing humor with seriousness of purpose, this delightful documentary explores the taboo subject of sexuality and aging. Amidst the pressures to feel young and attractive to be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, three queer elders show how their lives have been and will be full of pleasure, happiness, and love. Micheline who just wants to have sex with her wife, Francis who prefers his action in the political sphere, and hopeless romantic Yves, let the viewer in on the gift of time in this essential viewing.

Amazing look into the lives of queer elders and what that can mean for relationships. Equal parts silly and eye-opening.
